Chapter 2.3 - Safety & Security
Blazing Swan has zero tolerance for theft, assault and consent violations. These behaviours harm individuals and our entire community. Anyone found breaching our Event Attendance Terms and Conditions may be removed from the event and banned from future events. Where a crime is suspected, we will contact the Police.
Look out for each other. Get to know your camping neighbours and keep an eye on your surroundings.
Secure your belongings. Lock valuables and medication in your vehicle when not in use. Keep track of your keys and leave a spare with someone you trust.
Label your gear. Record identifying details of valuable items and label your belongings and clothing to help identify them if they're lost or stolen.
Speak up. If you witness theft, assault, consent violations or suspicious behaviour, report it to a Ranger, Theme Camp Manager or Event Headquarters. If it's safe to do so, call out the behaviour and help prevent further harm.
Document incidents where safe. Photos or video may help when reporting an incident. Prioritise your safety and the safety of others, and don't put yourself at risk to gather evidence.
If you see something, say something. We all have a role in keeping Jilakin Rock City safe.
