Blazing Swan is a self-sufficient event. There are no shops, food stalls or food trucks, and money won't help if you've run out of supplies. Bring everything you need to eat and drink for your entire stay, including bump-in and pack-down if you're volunteering.

Water

Bring at least 4 litres of water per person per day for drinking, cooking and washing. You may need more in hot weather or if you're doing physically demanding work.

Frozen drinking water can help keep your supplies cool. You can also pre-order ice for daily collection on site.

Food

Bring enough nutritious food for your entire stay. Plan your meals carefully, eating fresh food early and saving longer-lasting supplies for later in the event. Make sure you have a safe way to store and prepare your food.

If you arrive without enough food or water to sustain yourself for your stay, you may be required to return to Kulin to obtain additional supplies.

Grey Water and Wastewater

All wastewater must be taken home with you. This includes water from washing dishes, cooking, bathing and cleaning. Do not pour wastewater onto the ground or into toilets, and do not bury waste.

Bring enough sealed containers to store all the wastewater you'll generate during your stay. We recommend one or two 15–20 litre containers per person, along with a funnel to make transferring water easier.

Grey water may look harmless, but it can contain soap, detergents, food scraps and other contaminants. Disposing of it on site damages the environment and creates unnecessary problems for the local community.

Plan ahead, pack what you need, and leave no trace.
