Everyone is at Blazing Swan to have fun, yes you might like to capture that. But please be respectful of other people and ask for consent from those around if they are going to appear in your photos/videos. Not everyone wants their attendance to be part of their digital trail.
For those who take photo/video more seriously… Each year Blazing Swan approves a group of photographers/videographers with identifiable lanyards to take ‘official’ photos of the Event. We expect these people to be a guiding beacon on how to capture our community.
Every photograph or video should have obtained the subject’s consent if they feature in aphoto or video. We expect everyone to follow the same protocol.
If you feel that any photographer/videographer is being intrusive and not respecting the rule about obtaining consent, we recommend that you ask them politely to stop, review their media, and ask to delete any media they might have already taken of you that you did not consent to. If that doesn’t work, you can report this to a Ranger, the Consent Crew, or a Consent Ally.
