Blazing Swan doesn't happen by itself. It happens because people show up and make it happen.
There are hundreds of ways to contribute.
You can help build the city and keep it running with DPW, you could be part of Gate, Greeters and Traffic who welcome people into Blazing Swan, you could help support the community in our Rangers, Consent or Wellness Teams, help protect the land with our MOOP crew, or simply lending a hand when it's needed.
You don't need to know exactly where you fit. There's a crew for all kinds of people, skills, personalities, and levels of experience.
Find Your Place
Some crews are busy before the event even begins. Others come alive when the gates open. Some work behind the scenes, while others spend their days right in the middle of the action.
Love meeting people?
Greeters, Centre Kiosk or Rangers might be your thing.
Want to help look after people?
Check out Rangers, House, Consent, Wellness or Accessibility.
And if none of those sound quite right, there are always more ways to get involved.
You Don't Need to Be an Expert
For most volunteer roles previous expierence is helpful, but is required.
What matters more is showing up, being willing to learn, working well with others, and following through on the commitment you've made.
Some crews require specific training or skills, and others will teach you everything you need to know.
Volunteering Is Part of the Experience
Volunteering isn't just something you do for Blazing Swan.
It's one of the ways you become part of it.
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people you might never otherwise cross paths with, learn how the event works, discover parts of the event most participants never see, and have the satisfaction of knowing that you helped make it happen.
You might arrive thinking you're just filling a shift.
You might leave with a crew, a bunch of new friends, and a completely different experience of Blazing Swan.
