House
Every temporary city needs somewhere to keep things running behind the scenes.
House is one of the less visible parts of Blazing Swan but as the team that helps support the people and systems that keep the event functioning, it’s vital.
While key volunteers are out building and helping to run Jilakin Rock City, House helps look after the practical needs of the people working behind the scenes.
What Does House Do?
House supports the people and infrastructure that make the event possible.
Depending on the role, this can include:
Feeding and supporting volunteers and event crews
Helping coordinate practical day-to-day needs like cleaning and laundry
Looking after shared spaces and resources
Much of the work happens quietly behind the scenes.
When House is doing its job well, the people doing the visible work have what they need to keep doing it.
Is House for You?
House suits people who are practical, helpful, organised, and good at spotting what needs to be done.
Those with kitchen experience are welcomed with open arms.
If you're the kind of person who sees a problem and thinks, "I can probably help with that," you might fit right in.
Join House
Not everything that makes Blazing Swan happen happens in the spotlight. That doesn’t mean it’s not important.
If you'd like to help look after the people behind the event, House is a great place to contribute.
