Blazing Swan is currently recruiting for…
Graphic Designer
Are you a professional graphic designer, currently studying the topic or an experienced hobbyist who’d like to volunteer? Consider joining our expanding Graphics Team!
You’ll join a small team to help build out design elements for our event and association.
Design projects include things like – Event theme branding, the WTF and map designs, swag designs – like tee, patches and stickers. With large and small format designs being used across digital and print assets.
You’ll work collaboratively as part of a small team, with the opportunity to work individually on single smaller projects or collectively on larger design projects.
If you’ve got design skills that you’d like to showcase in the community, have a collaborative approach and an understanding that successful event branding needs to work across a lot of different applications. Then we’d love to hear from you.
Familiarity with Adobe suite is a big plus and will make it easier to jump into the team’s existing workflows.

Social Media Guardian
ARE YOU A SOCIAL MEDIA GUARDIAN?
Our online communities are an extension of our event and not-for-profit organisation. They’re spaces where people connect, ask questions, share ideas, and become part of the Blazing Swan community long before they arrive at the Gate to leave Default world.
We're looking for volunteers who want to join a small team of Social Media Guardians - community volunteers who care about our digital culture and want to help foster positive, constructive and respectful conversations across our online spaces.
This isn't about moderation; it's about helping create the kind of community we all want to be part of, which is reflective of our 11 principles and provides a constructive online space for the Blazing Swan community.
Why Volunteer?
Blazing Swan exists because people choose to contribute.
Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to be part of something bigger than yourself, helping create the spaces, experiences, and support systems that allow the event to thrive.
Whether you're helping at the Gate, Rangering, supporting event operations, assisting with build or pack-down, or contributing your skills behind the scenes as part of the org, every volunteer plays a role in making the temporary city possible.
Whether you give a few hours during the event or take on a larger role, volunteering is a great way to meet new people, build connections, learn new skills, and experience Blazing Swan from a different perspective.
It's a great opportunity to gift back to the community while helping create an event that thousands of participants call home each year.
