Ticketing and Refund Information for Blazing Swan 2026

Hi Blazing Swan Community,

Firstly, we want to sincerely apologise for the delay in communicating about tickets, reselling, and transfers.

This delay wasn’t intentional. We’ve been working through several complex and fast-moving challenges – including fuel planning, and broader event logistics as well as ticketing itself – while also reviewing possible options. That said, this has taken longer than we committed to, and we understand the frustration the community has communicated.

We’re sorry.

We also recognise the strong reaction to the early and unwarned closure of ticket resales. We know this frustrated many in the community.

To give some context: In previous years we have often struggled with volunteer recruitment – at points, it has caused genuine concern for the event. As a result, this year, the Committee made a decision to recruit volunteers earlier than usual. The community responded in a big way – and we’re incredibly grateful for that. It is great to see so many people putting their hands up and getting involved in this way.

At the same time, we accepted an increased number of theme camps and ticketing followed its usual pattern, with strong demand and a fast move to capacity. As we reviewed all allocations together, it became clear that, whilst we were permitted to host a larger number of people this year, the total number of people planning to attend was higher than we were confident our infrastructure and teams could support.

From the outside, it can seem like ticketing is a single capped pool. In reality, there are multiple ticket allocations including; general sale, volunteers, theme camps, artists and mutant vehicles, tickets for locals and we also need to consider contractors who come on site. These pools are all interlinked and supportive of each other and managed by different teams – so the allocations are constantly reviewed and adjusted to maintain a balance for the event, as well as remaining within our event’s permitted amounts.

As we progressed through planning and began reviewing the full picture – including infrastructure, volunteer capacity, theme camp and artist attendance, and the realities of accommodating a larger population – it became clear that the projected attendance was higher than we are confident we could comfortably and safely support and would place significant pressure on the event.

This isn’t just about a number on paper. Last year already pushed the limits in some areas, including camping space in the main camping area and service and infrastructure capacity. An increase of this scale raised real concerns about the quality of the experience, the potential safety of participants, and even though we have the largest volunteer team(s) we’ve ever had, the ability of our volunteer teams to deliver the event to the standard the community expects.

At that point, we made the decision to limit further growth and reduce pressure on the event. Closing ticket resales was part of that action.

Since then, we’ve heard from many of you – particularly those hoping for resale opportunities or the ability to transfer tickets. We understand the real impact this has had, and we don’t take that lightly.

We apologise for the impact it’s had to you.

After careful and ongoing review, the Blazing Swan Committee has made a final decision on the matter:

  • No further tickets will be released for Blazing Swan 2026
  • Ticket resales will not be reinstated
  • Ticket name transfers will not be permitted – except in very limited and specific circumstances outlined below.
  • Instead, refunds are offered to those who are no longer able to attend.

We know this is not the outcome many were hoping for.

We apologise if you have not been able to secure a ticket for this year’s event.

We know that for many in our community, they are only able to rely on resales closer to the event, and this decision will be disappointing, frustrating and upsetting for many.

This decision has been made to protect the safety, sustainability, and overall experience of the event for everyone attending.

Refunds will remain available until 12:00pm Wednesday 1st April 2026 via the form below:

For those who have tickets, we remind you that:

  • The name on your ticket must match your legal ID to gain entry. Everyone will be checked at the gate before entry
  • Private resales (including via Tixel or other platforms) are not valid and will not be accepted, and
  • The refund process is the only supported way to transfer a ticket

We would like to remind the community that with this news, there is a high probability that we will see a continued and increasing rise of scam accounts trying to portray selling new tickets or reselling tickets. Please be careful online, there are no more tickets, no resales and whilst our Comms Team do what they can to report and take down scam actions and accounts, we do not and cannot ensure that we are successful.

Please direct urgent ticketing questions to tickets@blazingswan.com.au

Non-urgent questions and complaints can be directed to committee@blazingswan.com.au

Please understand that this decision is final, and exceptions will only be applicable for absolute emergency cases.

On site and despite the weather, the event build continues and we expect an increased amount of Theme Camps shortly to commence their build as preparations for Blazing Swan 2026: Takes a Village are continuing with strong momentum.

We’re looking forward to sharing the dust with you soon.

Love and dust,
Blazing Swan Committee
