Volunteer Workers Group Personal Accident Insurance

Blazing Swan has an insurance policy in place that provides cover for volunteers who are doing work directly for Blazing Swan.

The policy covers volunteers registered through Volcor whilst they are working for Blazing Swan. The policy does not cover participants or volunteers undertaking work for other parties – this includes those volunteering or working Theme Camps or Contractors.

Blazing Swan insurance provider is Dual Australia, you can find details of the Product Disclosure Statement, Product Profile and their FAQ’s on their Volunteer Workers Group Personal Accident Insurance in each of the links.

The level of cover that Blazing Swan has in place is Option 2.

These documents will provide details about the level of cover for medical expenses which are not covered by Medicare or Private Health Insurance.

We recommend volunteers seek independent advice regarding Private Health Insurance, as people with Private Health Insurance have a greater level of cover than those without.

Volunteers who travel from overseas to undertake volunteer work for Blazing Swan should seek independent advice regarding Travel Insurance cover.

Any volunteer that has an accident or injury while undertaking volunteer work for Blazing Swan should report it immediately to their Team Leader, Safety Team Lead or a member of the Committee.
