Couple, Alia Leadabrand and Allan Allsop and close friend Michelle Smith are a team of parents with one teenager, and two littlies between them have created two theme camps for the Blazing Swan festival so that children of all ages have their own special place to enjoy each other and be near to their camp site:
- Lollipop Village
– caters to all the under 12 year old children of the festival and their families
- Teenage Junkyard
– is a camp for the new generation of Blazers, our magnificent teens!- the soon to be kings and queens of Blazing Swan!
With a communal camping area for the families of both camps, Mums and dads can work together to create meal rosters and child minding times so parents can enjoy child free time and the children of all age demographics can enjoy their own camp spaces, with their families nearby.
Both Lollipop Village and Teenage Junkyard are looking for all the Blazing Families to connect with and join their camps. So connect with them now on Facebook for more information.
Lollipop Village or Blazing Swan’s Teenage Junkyard
Camp leader Michelle Smith, Mother of two lively under 12’s, Ryder and Lolani has created Lollipop Village to offer a space for all of Blazing Swans families with under 12’s to join together and create a fun world for the festivals children to interact with other children their own age.
Children and families are welcomed and we encourage parents to connect with us on our Facebook Page for group discussions, ideas and organizing events before, during and after the festival.
Camp fees are yet to be determined, but will be minimal and as a special bonus the first lucky families to join will have access to discounted festival tickets so contact us now Lollipop Village on Facebook.
Camp leaders Allan Allsop & Alia Leadabrand are parents to funky, nearly 15 year old, 3 time Blazer Chili.
‘(Chili’s half brother and sister are also Ryder and Lolani, Michelle’s young children! It’s a modern world and we celebrate family in whatever form it comes in 🙂 )’
Welcome to the new theme camp for the new generation of Blazers, our magnificent teens!- the soon to be kings and queens of Blazing Swan!
With a giant 6 metre Sibley tent set up with camp cots and bunk bed camp cots they will be holding a week long massive group sleep over for kids aged 13 – 17 (how fun is that!! ). During the day the tent will double as a day time lounging retreat for all the young adults at Blazing Swan to come and hang with similarly aged kids.
The aim is to create a space that caters to their particular needs of teens giving them their own festival experience while being in strict self-monitored group where the burner principles and values are imparted.
The teens will care for each other with the joy that is consistent with the event and learn the magic of gifting and communal creativity and cooperation all week.
