Come dive deep into ocean-themed meditation, movement, music and mind food. We are offering a range of sessions every morning and evening: dive deep in meditation, bathe in sounds, movement to wind you up or down and conversations with marine experts. Like an intertidal pool, this is a space for curiousity, connection and transition. Facilitated sessions are programmed in 45-minute blocks between 5am and 9am, and from 5pm to 9pm. Places in each are limited, but possibilities infinite. During the middle of the day our little island is open for anyone to take refuge.
The theme camp features a large, well-insulated bell tent furnished with cushions and mats with a capacity for 20 people. It will be a place of OCEAN-THEMED, guided meditation, movement, music and mind food. A theme through all sessions will be explicit or implicit reference to the ocean (i.e. for thalassophiles): stillness at depth, feeling into flow and being moved by waves of sound, and sunset sessions of poetry and science that’s ocean-related.
It will have ‘active’ programming around sunrise and sunset, be open in the day for anyone’s use and closed 8:00pm to 5:15am. We have the core crew to run the program, but will open the space to more camp contributors prior to the event to run sessions, workshops etc. There will be very limited sound amplification – just enough for those inside to hear it. Tea and snacks will be served to those leaving each session.
The daily rhythm – Wed evening to Sunday evening (we will pack down and leave Monday) is likely to be:
– 5:30am guided meditation
– 6:30am movement / yoga + meditation
– 7:30am movement / yoga + meditation
– 9:00am – 5:00pm open for anyone’s use for private, silent practice
– 5:30pm movement / yoga + meditation (to stretch out)
– 6:30pm sunset sessions – poetry, sound healing
